Gregory Nagy joining the Academy of Athens Seminar 2020–2021

CHS Director and Harvard Professor, Gregory Nagy, also an elected foreign member of the Academy of Athens since 2010, is the invited speaker at the virtual seminar that will take place on January 20, 2021, 5–7pm, where he will deliver a presentation entitled "When self-praise connects the speaker to the universe: A diachronic view of the word εὔχομαι in its Homeric contexts".

The Research Centre for Greek and Latin Literature of the Academy of Athens organizes the 2020–2021 Seminar, hosting a number of distinguished scholars from around the world. The title of this year's Seminar is "(Self-)Praise & (Self-)Blame in Ancient Literature" and presentations will be delivered virtually throughout the year.
